On January 24 – We had the honour of welcoming Dr. Shashi Tharoor for an inspiring session with students. He began with a brief yet thought-provoking speech, emphasizing the importance of creativity in learning. He encouraged students and teachers to think beyond textbooks and embrace innovation and curiosity, key skills for success in today’s world. He strongly advocated that education should teach children how to think, not what to think, fostering independent thought and problem-solving abilities. He also spoke about India’s rich intellectual heritage After his speech, he engaged in an interactive session, answering students’ questions with wit and wisdom. As a token of appreciation, the School Head Boy presented him with a book, and the Art teacher gifted him a hand-drawn portrait, both of which he warmly accepted. Dr. Tharoor’s visit was truly inspiring, encouraging students to value creativity, knowledge, and a broader worldview.
